Role Positioning:

Core position in the representative office compliance professional team. Responsible for implementing the regional compliance accountability system, matching compliance requirements with ICT business substance, independently identifying, assessing, and controlling compliance risks, and delivering high-quality compliance work products.

I. Role Mission

Aligned with the company's "Lean Compliance Professional Team Strategy," this role is grounded in the business substance of the Nigeria ICT market to solidify the representative office compliance accountability system. The incumbent will initially focus on a specific compliance domain, then progressively expand to full-spectrum compliance management, independently identifying and controlling compliance risks to ensure the stable and sustainable operation of the representative office's business in the local market.

II. Key Responsibilities

1. Compliance System Development and Operation

  • Develop, optimize, and implement the representative office's compliance management policies, control processes, and operating mechanisms;
  • Embed compliance requirements into end-to-end ICT project business processes (including sales, delivery, procurement, and government relations) to ensure effective integration of compliance with business operations.

2. Compliance Risk Identification and Control (Initial Focus, Later Full-Spectrum)

  • Initial Phase: Based on individual professional background (legal / contract & commercial/quality operations/business management), assume specialized compliance management responsibilities in the corresponding domain;
  • Later Phase: Take full ownership of the representative office compliance risk map, conducting systematic compliance risk assessments for business scenarios including ICT infrastructure, data centres, and digital talent programs;
  • Conduct compliance reviews on major contracts, transactions, partner onboarding, and business decisions, issuing independent compliance opinions.

3. Compliance Incident and Case Management

  • Handle the acceptance, preliminary verification, investigation, and closure of compliance leads;
  • Track compliance issue remediation by business teams and drive effective implementation of corrective actions.

4. Compliance Enablement and Culture Building

  • Conduct compliance training and case studies for local business teams to enhance organization-wide compliance awareness;
  • Independently produce professional work products including compliance analysis reports, risk assessment reports, policy guidelines, and case libraries.

5. External Regulatory Engagement and Local Adaptation

  • Monitor changes in Nigerian local laws, regulations, regulatory policies, and industry compliance requirements;
  • Interface with local regulators, external law firms, and compliance consultants; assist in responding to local compliance inspections, audits, and government inquiries.

III. Qualification Requirements

1. Education

  • Bachelor's degree or above;
  • For campus hires: must meet target university requirements with a strong educational background;
  • For experienced hires: must possess solid academic foundations in relevant disciplines.

2. Professional Background and Experience

  • Experienced hires: minimum 3 years of relevant experience in legal, contract & commercial, quality operations, or business management;
  • Demonstrated understanding of ICT industry business logic; familiarity with telecom infrastructure, ICT project operations, or related technical backgrounds preferred;
  • Prior experience in multinational enterprises, the telecommunications industry, or large local Nigerian enterprises in compliance / legal/commercial roles preferred.
