Key Responsibilities
• Lead all Hong Kong regulatory compliance matters, acting as the go-to expert for TCSP requirements.
• Strengthening and oversee controls across financial crime, client due diligence, sanctions, and data privacy.
• Conduct structured client file reviews, tracking key metrics and identifying gaps or risks.
• Ensure all client documentation meets high standards of completeness, accuracy, and audit readiness.
• Maintain clear and defensible records supporting risk assessments, enhanced checks, and decision-making.
• Deliver tangible improvements within your first 90 days, including file standardization and remediation initiatives.
• Provide practical guidance on UAE compliance frameworks, supporting cross-border operations.
• Monitor client relationships and activities to ensure they remain within risk appetite and compliance expectations.
• Continuously enhance policies, procedures, and governance frameworks in line with regulatory developments.
• Take ownership to decline new clients where due diligence or transparency falls short.
• Step in to pause transactions or activities until compliance concerns are fully addressed.
• Escalate material risks with confidence, ensuring senior management visibility on high-risk or sensitive issues.
Candidate Profile
• Bachelor’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or related field
• 5+ years of experience in Trust/TCSP Compliance as well as AML/KYC and general financial compliance
• Professional certifications preferred (e.g., CAMS, ICA, ACAMS, CGSS or equivalent)
• Language: Cantonese and English
• Strong analytical and risk assessment capability
• High level of integrity and independence
