Job Summary:

We are seeking a Labor & Employment Associate Attorney with 3-6 years of experience to join our growing practice. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in employment litigation, compliance counseling, and workplace investigations. This role involves advising employers on labor and employment matters, handling disputes, and representing clients before courts and administrative agencies.

Key Responsibilities:Litigation & Dispute Resolution

Represent employers in litigation, including wage and hour claims, wrongful termination, discrimination, harassment, and retaliation cases.
Defend clients in hearings, arbitrations, and trials at the state and federal levels.
Draft motions, pleadings, discovery responses, and legal memoranda.

Compliance & Advisory Services

Provide counsel on employment policies, workplace best practices, and regulatory compliance (FLSA, FMLA, ADA, Title VII, NLRA, etc.).
Conduct workplace investigations and advise on employee discipline and termination matters.
Assist with wage and hour audits and employment classification issues.

Union & Labor Relations

Advise clients on union-related matters, including collective bargaining, unfair labor practice charges, and union avoidance strategies.
Represent clients in labor arbitrations, negotiations, and NLRB proceedings.

HR Policy & Training

Draft and review employment contracts, handbooks, and workplace policies.
Conduct training sessions on anti-discrimination laws, workplace harassment, and compliance issues.

Administrative Agency Work

Represent employers before government agencies such as the EEOC, DOL, NLRB, and state employment commissions.
Prepare responses to administrative charges and participate in settlement negotiations.

Qualifications & Skills:

J.D. from an accredited law school and active bar membership in Florida.
3-6 years of experience in labor and employment law, preferably in a law firm setting.
Strong litigation skills, including motion practice, discovery, and trial preparation.
Knowledge of federal and state employment laws and regulations.
Experience with union-related matters and collective bargaining is a plus.
Excellent legal research, writing, and analytical skills.
Ability to manage multiple clients and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work collaboratively with clients and colleagues.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $150,000.00 – $250,000.00 per year
