Pennell Hart are a Legal & Compliance specialist Executive Search firm with operations in UAE and London. One of our key clients, an investment company based headquartered in Abu Dhabi, is looking to hire a Compliance Counsel to be based in Abu Dhabi.
The Compliance Counsel will form part of the broader Ethics & Compliance team which is headquartered in Abu Dhabi but will be seconded out to a wholly owned subsidiary company operating in the aviation space.
The Compliance Counsel will lead the roll out of a robust ethics and compliance program which is in-line with HQ. You will be responsible for reviewing and updating policies and procedures to ensure alignment with relevant laws and regulations, compliance monitoring, risk management, reviewing audit reports, leading ethics and compliance training, enhancing ethics and compliance program in line with international best practice and driving an ethics and compliance culture.
Our client is particularly interested in meeting with compliance professionals with at least 10 years broad, generalist ethics and compliance experience gained within a corporate setting. Strong experience dealing with restrictive securities, trade controls, sanctions, due diligence and KYC is required. This role would not suit candidates coming from a purely financial services background. Ideally, you will have had exposure to the aviation sector, but this is not a pre-requisite.
The ideal candidate will have a degree in law and a professional certification in Compliance, e.g., CCEP.This is a truly fantastic opportunity to join an outstanding organisation that attracts talent of the highest calibre.
