Position: Contract Analyst
JOB SUMMARY:

Negotiates, prepares and executes vendor contracts for ISS Solutions. Maintains vendor contract database. Processes vendor contracts through legal / purchasing / invoice systems. Processes and documents any purchase requisitions. Performs duties to support the goals and objectives of ISS Solutions in its efforts to provide quality customer satisfaction.

MAJOR DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Demonstrates advanced processing knowledge of vendor contracts and price agreement processing including: review of contract / quote documents, database requirements, verification of prices and other needs. Works with supervisor / managers to meet all procurement contracting needs. Works with legal department for acceptable terms and conditions
Develops, implements, and maintains the vendor contract database
Monitors of vendor contract database to ensure data integrity (audit reports)
Maintains appropriate vendor contract turn-around times
Processes any purchase orders including, review of purchase orders and requisitions order placement and verification of prices and delivery
Actively manages buyer messages generated by the purchasing information system on a daily basis; checks and pursues resolution daily as defined
Remains knowledgeable and current in market conditions and trends affecting healthcare purchasing. Utilizes continuing education opportunities to improve purchasing techniques
Knowledgeable of the use of on-line purchasing system to input requisitions and purchase orders utilizing defined policies and procedures
Manages day-to-day supplier interactions including ordering, delivery, coordination of return/replacement goods and invoice payment issues
Assists in the monitoring of vendor/supplier performance
Provides assistance to end users in the use of web requisition process
Submits management reports as necessary
Recommends improved methods and procedures
Participates in project meetings and planning sessions as assigned
Provides backup support to other purchasing areas as needed
Supports and promotes ISS Solutions and Geisinger directives for teams and service excellence initiatives
Maintains the security and confidentiality of all information
Performs other duties as necessary

SKILLS AND ABILITIES:

Demonstrates ability to simultaneously prioritize and manage work requests and activities.

Demonstrates desire to find the most efficient and effective method of performing activities.

Demonstrates ability to introduce and adapt to new and/or changed procedures and processes and related knowledge transfer sharing with other staff.

Demonstrated experience with data analysis, modeling and reporting tools.

Demonstrates ability to pay attention to detail and possesses strong interpersonal skills and good communication skills.

Demonstrates ability to work independently and effectively in a team-oriented environment.

Demonstrated customer service skills.

EDUCATION AND/OR EXPERIENCE:
Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration/Legal or related field or Paralegal degree/certificate required
Minimum one year of contract management and information systems experience required
Equivalent knowledge with minimum six years of experience in purchasing in a multi-institutional setting may be considered in lieu of degree
Strong experience with Lawson Procurement Suite, Microsoft Office (including Excel, Powerpoint, and Access) preferred
