About the Role

As a Compliance Analyst, you will sit at the intersection of regulatory rigour and product innovation. Every dollar moving across our network needs to do so safely, legally, and in line with the standards of our financial partners. This is a critical early-career role on a fast-moving team where your work directly shapes the trust customers place in the platform.

What You Will Do

  • Conduct KYC and KYB onboarding reviews: verify customer identities, validate documentation, and assess business legitimacy in line with the company's Customer Identification Program and CDD Rule requirements.
  • Perform ongoing customer due diligence, including periodic KYC refresh and Enhanced Due Diligence on high-risk customers.
  • Conduct sanctions screening against OFAC lists, PEP screening, and adverse media checks; document disposition decisions for each alert and escalate true matches to the BSA Officer.
  • Monitor transaction activity for red flags consistent with FinCEN guidance, investigate alerts generated by the transaction monitoring system, and prepare SAR narratives and supporting documentation for review and filing by the BSA Officer.
  • Support updates to compliance policies, procedures, and internal controls documentation under the direction of the BSA Officer, ensuring alignment with both the bank partner's AML program requirements and applicable state money transmitter obligations.
  • Partner with product and operations teams to review new features, payment flows, and partner integrations for compliance impact prior to launch.
  • Prepare compliance metrics, case reporting, and periodic submissions for internal stakeholders and the bank partner in line with the partnership's reporting requirements.
  • Support state regulatory examinations and bank partner audits by preparing case files, documentation samples, and responses to examiner requests.
  • Monitor regulatory developments affecting the business, including FinCEN guidance, OFAC program updates, state money transmitter requirements, and the bank partner's program expectations, and summarize relevant changes for the compliance team.
  • Respond to information requests from law enforcement, regulators, and the bank partner under BSA Officer supervision.

Who You Are

You bring 1–2 years of hands-on compliance or regulatory experience, ideally within a fintech, bank, or payments company. Beyond the technical skills, you understand what it means to protect customers and the business simultaneously — without defaulting to “no” as a first answer.

  • Regulatory foundation: Solid grounding in AML, KYC/KYB, OFAC sanctions, and BSA principles. Familiarity with cross-border remittance regulations is a strong plus.
  • Analytical mindset: You connect dots in transaction data others miss. Comfortable working through ambiguous cases and documenting your reasoning clearly.
  • Precise communicator: Your written escalations and reports are clean, structured, and audit-ready. You can explain regulatory constraints to non-compliance colleagues without jargon.
  • Cross-border awareness: Genuinely interested in global financial regulation — especially in emerging markets and diaspora corridors where the rules are still being written.
  • Ownership mentality: Early-career but not passive. You flag issues proactively, propose solutions, and follow through without being prompted twice.
  • Tech comfort: At ease using compliance management platforms and transaction monitoring tools.
