A well-established, community-focused financial institution is seeking a Compliance Analyst & Bank Secrecy Act (BSA) Specialist to join its Risk and Compliance team. This position plays a vital role in maintaining regulatory compliance, supporting quality control processes in mortgage lending, and ensuring adherence to BSA/AML, OFAC, fair lending, and other federal regulations.
Location: Winston-Salem, NC (100% in office)
Schedule: Mon-Fri, 8:30am-5:00pm
Salary Range: $60,000-$75,000/year
Responsibilities:
Monitor, test, and assess compliance with federal banking regulations
Review customer transactions for potential suspicious activity (AML, fraud, etc.)
Assist with internal/external audits and regulatory examinations
Oversee pre-funding and post-closing mortgage quality control processes
Identify and help resolve compliance issues in lending and operations
Prepare regulatory reports and support fair lending analysis/reporting
Collaborate with teams across the organization to promote a strong compliance culture
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in Business, Finance, Law, or a related field
4+ years of experience in financial services compliance, including BSA/AML
Familiarity with loan origination regulations (RESPA, TILA, FHA/VA, etc.)
Excellent analytical skills, attention to detail, and strong written communication
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and compliance monitoring tools
