The opportunity

We are currently seeking for a Compliance Analyst to join our Portuguese subsidiary in Lisbon.

The successful candidate must be a proactive professional with a sense of integrity and a high control culture. The primary purpose of this position is to assist the compliance department’s daily operations and help protecting the organization by identifying potential legal, compliance and reputational risks.

Main Duties & Responsibilities

·        Perform compliance monitoring on internal first-line controls as part of the Business’ second line of defence.

·        Assist in elaborating governance reporting to committees/boards.

·        Participate in audit reviews performed by third parties and other external meetings where required.

·        Assist with regulatory reporting as required.

·        Review PRIIP’s related literature (e.g. Factsheets, KIIDs and investor circulars) to ensure material is compliant.

·        Maintain knowledge of regulatory changes.

·        Ensure that team procedures are kept updated following any process amendments.

·        Assist as required on the Client Onboarding process and Rolling Review process.

·        Interpret rules, regulations and guidance to provide advice and guidance to colleagues and third parties.

·       Attend service review, committee and internal meetings as required and provide advice, guidance and challenge where appropriate.

 

Requirements:

·        Educated with a Master Degree, ideally in law.

·        Experience within the banking or brokerage industry in a compliance department for at least 2 years.

·        Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Portuguese and English.

·        Demonstrated critical thinking abilities.

Would be considered as a significant advantage:

·  Fluent in any other foreign language such as Italian, Spanish, French (working level)

·  Knowledge of KYC requirements and PEP, Sanctions & AML regulations.

·  Knowledge of corporate governance framework

·  Knowledge of trading platforms
