Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 100 international law firm seeking a 3rd to 6th year Complex Litigation Associate to join its New York NY office.
This is a litigation focused role for an associate who wants meaningful responsibility on sophisticated commercial disputes, including client contact, depositions, court appearances, mediation, arbitration and trial related work.
The firm offers an international platform, a collaborative and team oriented culture, and a broad commercial disputes practice handling high value matters for leading companies. The position is office based, with an expectation of five days per week in the New York office.
The Opportunity
You will support and help drive complex litigation matters from early case assessment through discovery, case strategy, motion practice, alternative dispute resolution and trial. The work includes direct client interaction, taking and defending depositions, and appearing in court, mediations and arbitrations as appropriate.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 3rd to 6th year Complex Litigation Associate with:
- 3 to 6 years of complex litigation experience
- Strong litigation fundamentals including legal research, writing and oral advocacy
- Ability to manage complex cases, including discovery, depositions, court appearances, mediations, arbitrations and trial work
- Strong academic credentials
- Membership in the New York State Bar strongly preferred

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is USD 260,000 to USD 390,000, depending on class year, experience and other relevant factors.
