Title: Commercial Property & Leasing Lawyer

Company: Jaide Law

Location: Sydney, New South Wales, Australia

Commercial Property/Leasing Lawyer – Boutique Firm – 4 Days WFH + Real Autonomy

This role was made for a commercial property lawyer who knows their craft and is ready to do the best work of their career in an environment that actually supports them. Whether you are a few years in and hungry to accelerate, or more experienced and done with the big firm treadmill, what matters most to us is that you are capable, motivated, and genuinely excited by what we are building.

You want to actually own your matters. You want flexibility that genuinely fits your life. You want a Principal who invests in you, not just hands you work. And you want to work somewhere you feel seen, heard, valued and supported.

If you have been waiting for a role that finally fits your life without sacrificing the quality of work, this is it.

About Jaide Law

We are a boutique Sydney law firm doing things differently. Agile, tech-forward, and genuinely people-first. We believe great lawyering and a great life are not mutually exclusive. Our growing team is high-calibre, our culture is refreshing, and our approach to law is modern in every sense: the tools we use, the way we work, and the mindset we bring.

The Role

You will lead our commercial property practice, handling commercial conveyancing and leasing matters end-to-end, with real autonomy and direct access to the Principal. You will collaborate peer-to-peer with our Head of Residential Property and play an active role in nurturing your own client and referral relationships over time, growing the practice together.

We work closely alongside every person who joins us. In the first 1-3 months, the Principal will review your work, provide hands-on guidance on more complex matters, and be genuinely invested in setting you up for success. From there, you will take increasing ownership, with the Principal available for queries and complex negotiations as needed. This is a collaborative, invested relationship, not a sink or swim situation.

What This Role Gives You

• 4 days working from home, with one day per week in our Sydney CBD office for team collaboration. Interstate or regional candidates working fully remote will also be considered

• Flexible hours structured around your life, whether that means school pick-ups, an early start, or whatever works for you

• Real autonomy to run your own matters, make decisions, and be trusted to do so

• Salary package of $100k–$130k, plus a profit-linked performance bonus tied to firm performance and your individual KPIs, including business development. When the firm grows, you share in that growth.

• A Principal who is genuinely invested in your development, whatever stage of your career you are at

• A firm that backs you beyond law, with training in sales, business development, and the financial side of running a practice, because we want you to grow as a professional, not just as a lawyer

• Access to modern legal tech and workflow tools, so you spend your time on work that matters, not on admin

• A genuine path to building your own client base and contributing to the direction of the practice

• A modern, wellness-focused culture where we care about how you work, not just what you produce

What Your Day-to-Day Looks Like

• Handling commercial conveyancing and leasing transactions

• Reviewing, advising on, and drafting leases and agreements for lease (essential experience)

• Conducting due diligence, negotiating sale contracts, and advising clients with confidence

• Nurturing client and referral relationships that grow naturally over time

• Contributing ideas and efficiencies to how we work

You Are the Right Fit If You

• Possess a minimum of 2 years of direct experience in lease drafting and review work and commercial property conveyancing (NSW, QLD OR VIC)

• Are an admitted Australian legal practitioner

• Are a proactive self-starter who takes ownership and follows through

• Have exceptional attention to detail and strong organisational skills

• Communicate with clarity, warmth, and confidence, with clients and colleagues alike

• Are motivated to grow, contribute, and be part of something you can genuinely help shape
