We are currently working with a leading media and entertainment company, who are looking for a driven and detail-oriented Commercial Paralegal to join them on a 12-month fixed-term contract, based in central London.

Role Overview

You will join a busy legal department to provide essential support to the team. You will facilitate the smooth execution of daily operations and ensure the efficient management of a diverse range of commercial and contractual matters. This position requires someone who thrives on variety and takes pride in delivering high-quality legal support.

Key Responsibilities

  • Contract Management: Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of high-volume contracts, including drafting, reviewing and finalising agreements such as commercial service bookings, site access rights and partnership arrangements.
  • Commercial Support: Serve as a primary contact for internal business units, fostering strong relationships with operational teams to assist with their ongoing legal requirements.
  • Legal Documentation: Produce and refine legal templates, including release forms, terms of business and supplier contracts.
  • Corporate and Compliance: Assist with corporate secretarial maintenance and support the Data Protection Officer with GDPR queries and internal policy enforcement.
  • Portfolio Oversight: Track and maintain intellectual property and trademark filings.
  • Property and Facilities: Review and negotiate site-specific licenses, including storage agreements and occupancy documents.
  • Strategic Research: Conduct industry-specific research to inform business decisions.
  • Process Improvement: Update the department knowledge bank and ensure the standardisation of precedent agreements.
  • Digital Operations: Manage contract systems, including e-signature workflows and digital filing.

Required Skills and Qualifications

  • Educational Background: A Law degree (LLB) or equivalent is required.
  • Experience: You should have proven experience in a commercial legal role within a fast-paced corporate environment. Prior experience in real estate law is highly desirable.
  • Operational Excellence: You must work independently, manage competing priorities and maintain high standards of accuracy.
  • Communication: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills are essential to liaise with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Team Dynamics: A collaborative mindset with a focus on achieving team goals is key.
  • Approach: A proactive, flexible and positive attitude towards evolving business needs is expected.
  • Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with document management systems and e-signature platforms, such as DocuSign, is preferred.
