ForensicTimes.com, a leading platform for the forensic science and legal investigation community, is seeking a Commercial Manager to lead our revenue strategy, key partnerships, and commercial growth initiatives.

About the Role

As Senior Commercial Manager, you'll take ownership of Forensic Times end-to-end commercial strategy — leading revenue generation, high-value partnerships, and market expansion across the forensic science, legal, and law enforcement sectors. You'll work closely with senior leadership to shape long-term growth plans and mentor junior commercial team members.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the development and execution of commercial strategy to drive sustainable revenue growth (advertising, sponsorships, subscriptions, partnerships, licensing)
  • Identify, negotiate, and close high-value partnerships with forensic corporates, cybersecurity & legal firms, training bodies, law enforcement agencies, and industry associations
  • Own commercial P&L responsibility — set revenue targets, budgets, and growth forecasts
  • Build and manage a portfolio of strategic accounts and key client relationships
  • Lead contract negotiations, pricing strategy, and deal structuring for major partnerships
  • Partner with editorial, marketing, and product teams to align commercial priorities with content and platform strategy
  • Conduct market and competitor analysis to identify new revenue opportunities and emerging trends in forensic science and legal tech
  • Manage and mentor junior commercial/business development staff
  • Represent ForensicTimes.com at senior industry events, conferences, and trade shows
  • Report commercial performance, pipeline, and forecasts to senior leadership/board

What We're Looking For

  • 3+ years' experience in commercial management, business development, or senior sales roles (media, publishing, or B2B preferred)
  • Demonstrated track record of meeting/exceeding revenue targets and closing high-value deals
  • Strong leadership experience, including managing or mentoring teams
  • Experience in or strong network within cybersecurity, forensic science, legal, or law enforcement sectors highly desirable
  • Excellent negotiation, stakeholder management, and executive communication skills
  • Strategic, data-driven mindset with strong commercial acumen
  • Experience managing international conferences or exhibitions
  • Coordinate speakers, sponsors, exhibitors, and VIP guests
  • Experience selling sponsorship packages
  • Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, or related field (MBA a plus)
