A well-established business law firm in Towson, MD is seeking an experienced Business Litigation Attorney to join its growing team. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigator who thrives in a collaborative environment and wants to handle sophisticated commercial disputes for a diverse client base.
Responsibilities:
- Manage all phases of business litigation matters, from pre-suit through trial, including case strategy, discovery, motions practice, and settlement negotiations
- Represent clients in disputes involving contracts, partnerships, shareholder issues, business torts, and related commercial matters
- Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and other litigation documents
- Conduct depositions and represent clients in court appearances, hearings, and arbitrations
- Manage client relationships and provide strategic counsel on litigation risk and business objectives
- Collaborate with partners and associates on case strategy and staffing
- Mentor junior associates as needed
Qualifications:
- J.D. from an accredited law school and active license to practice law in Maryland
- 5+ years of business litigation experience at a law firm
- Strong background in commercial litigation, including contract disputes, business torts, and related matters
- Excellent writing, research, and oral advocacy skills
- Proven ability to manage a caseload independently
- Strong interpersonal and client management skills
- Portable book of business a plus but not required

The annual salary for this position is between $150,000 and $200,000. Factors which may affect pay within this range may include geography/market, skills, education, experience and other qualifications of the successful candidate.
