Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 100 national law firm seeking a 4th to 6th year Commercial Litigation Associate to join its San Francisco, CA office.
This role sits within a busy commercial litigation and dispute resolution practice handling sophisticated defense matters for a diverse client base. The work includes complex disputes in state and federal courts, with meaningful exposure to consumer class action litigation and mass arbitration matters.
The firm offers a well established national platform with a collaborative, team oriented litigation culture. Associates are trusted with substantive responsibility while working closely with experienced litigators on commercially important client matters. The position is expected to be in office five days per week.
The Opportunity
You will support complex commercial disputes from early case assessment through resolution, including drafting pleadings and motions, managing discovery, preparing for depositions and hearings, and contributing to case strategy. The role offers exposure to trial level litigation, appellate support, consumer class actions and mass arbitration programs.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 4th to 6th year Commercial Litigation Associate with:
- 4 to 6 years of commercial litigation experience, with consumer class action litigation or mass arbitration experience strongly preferred
- Active California Bar admission in good standing
- Strong academic credentials, with a highly regarded law school background preferred
- Excellent legal writing skills, strong attention to detail and sound judgment
- Comfort handling core litigation responsibilities including pleadings, discovery and motion practice in state and federal courts

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $230,000 to $305,000, depending on class year, experience and other relevant factors.
