This opportunity is ideal for a proactive and highly skilled Commercial Lawyer to join a corporate legal team. In this critical position, you will manage and advise on commercial contracts, ensuring alignment with a global legal framework while supporting the growth of the business. You will collaborate with a US-based legal team and cross-functional departments to drive business objectives and mitigate risks.
Key Responsibilities
Draft, review, and negotiate a broad range of commercial contracts.
Partner with internal teams, including sourcing and procurement, to facilitate efficient contract execution.
Collaborate with a global legal team to ensure consistency with international strategies, policies, and procedures.
Streamline contract management processes by developing standardised agreements and procedures.
Provide proactive advice on contractual matters, identifying and managing legal risks effectively.
Stay updated on Australian corporate requirements and ensure alignment with global legal standards.
Work with external counsel and privacy and data protection teams as required.
Qualifications And Skills
Extensive experience in commercial contracts or transactional law from a top-tier law firm or in-house legal department.
Demonstrated ability to independently resolve complex legal issues, balancing risk management with business goals.
Strong negotiation skills and the capacity to manage high-volume workflows effectively.
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build trust and influence stakeholders across all levels.
