A leading financial services/fintech company is seeking an experienced commercial counsel to assist their legal team on an interim basis. This is a full-time (40 hours per week), contract role for an initial 6 month term, with available benefits (health, dental, vision, 401k).

Pay Rate: $100 – $115 / hr

You will:

Draft and negotiate a wide range of Procurement contracts, including MSA, SAAS, Business

Process Outsourcing, Consulting, Independent Contractor, and AI integration agreements.

Oversee and manage procurement of 3rd party technologies and services.

Work as part of the cross-functional teams on a variety of commercial legal matters, touching employment, IP, privacy and AI.

Offer guidance on a variety of legal matters to support executives and professionals across the company.

Provide business-oriented advice by balancing risks and business reward.

You have:

Minimum of 7 years of contracts drafting and negotiation experience at technology companies and/or law firms.

Specific focus on commercial transactions in technology and SaaS.

5+ years of in-house experience at a technology company.

Expertise in drafting and negotiating a wide variety of commercial, licensing and other technology related agreements.

Law degree from an accredited U.S. law school is highly preferred.

Expertise in drafting and negotiating:

Commercial agreements

Licensing agreements

Partnership agreements

Technology-related contracts

Knowledge of data privacy and security issues in the technology sector (CCPA, GDPR), including drafting and negotiating related terms.

Experience working with large multinational partners, vendors, and customers.

Strong analytical abilities and project management experience.

Excellent communication skills, capable of explaining complex contract requirements.

Team-oriented with the ability to work independently in a distributed workforce.

Self-starter, capable of performing under minimal supervision.

Proven ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, evolving environment.

Familiarity with contract management and legal tools such as:

Salesforce, Docusign, Google Docs, Microsoft Word, Adobe Acrobat.
