Loblaw is seeking a Legal Counsel to join its Legal Department, reporting to a Senior Director or Director. In this role, you will draft and negotiate various commercial agreements while advising on technology, privacy, and security matters. Your expertise will support key initiatives across technology, e-commerce, loyalty, and retail media business lines.
Key Responsibilities:
• Draft and review commercial agreements across various business lines
• Counsel on strategic initiatives and transactions, identifying risks
• Advise on technology-related legal matters, including AI and data protection
• Collaborate with procurement and legal teams for efficiency improvements
• Participate in annual team objective development and committee work
Requirements:
• 2-7 years experience in commercial contracting in-house or law firm
• Knowledge of technology agreements, including SaaS and data terms
• Strong communication and analytical skills
• Proven ability to manage multiple projects
• Member in good standing with the Law Society of Ontario
