We are looking to hire a part-time experienced paralegal to join our general practice law firm, but primarily in the estate planning department.

Prior experience in a law office much preferred, estate planning experience–a big plus.

QUALIFICATIONS:

-Strong computer and organizational skills

-Proficiency in MS Word, Excel & Outlook

-Willing and able to learn proprietary software

-Demonstrated attention to detail

-Excellent communication skills, verbal and written

-Ability to complete tasks correctly, with in tight deadlines

-Work proficiently and accurately while juggling multiple files at one time

RESPONSIBILITIES:

-Applicant must work compassionately with clients, while handling sensitive or private matters

-Maintain the confidentiality of information, while communicating to other professionals as needed

-Communicate with clients, vendors, etc. via email and telephone

-Respond promptly and appropriately to all follow up correspondence

-Draft letters/emails as needed

-Draft Estate Planning and Probate documents as directed

-Request documents/information when necessary

-Organize files

-Answer the telephone

-Proofread documents

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $25.00 – $30.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 30 per week
