The Law Office of Mark Kinzler, P.C. is a fast-paced, client driven immigration law practice seeking an Associate Attorney. This job is a full-time position and candidates must be bilingual (English/Spanish). The Associate Attorney will be responsible for legal representation of immigrants in their immigration cases before the Executive Office for Immigration Review, U.S. Citizenship and Immigration Services, the U.S. Department of State, and other branches of government. The applicant should also be interested in supervisory and management roles with the office.
The right candidate will be able to work independently with a wide degree of latitude for case development and strategy. The candidate will understand how to manage an immigration caseload in a proactive and intentional manner.
Experience & Licensure:
Prior experience in immigration law is highly preferred. Experience in other fields of law is considered a plus – particularly in the areas of criminal defense and personal injury.
Must be currently licensed to practice law in the State of Texas.
Job duties:
Conduct initial assessments on immigration cases to determine eligibility for immigration benefits.
Prepare immigration cases and represent clients in a wide variety of immigration related matters including, but not limited to, asylum and other forms of removal defense, family-based immigration, naturalization, VAWA, U visa, etc.
Other duties as assigned.
