Job Overview
A law firm seeks a Class Action Associate Attorney with at least 2 years of experience to join its team in Biloxi, MS. The attorney will manage a complex caseload of federal and state cases related to unfair business practices, consumer protection, and privacy statutes.
Duties
- Handle state and federal class action cases at various stages.
- Investigate, draft, and file litigation documents, including pleadings and motions.
- Guide clients through the case process.
- Interact with expert witnesses and prepare reports and affidavits.
- Prepare for and attend depositions, mediations, hearings, and court appearances.
Requirements
- Law degree from a fully accredited law school.
- Active member in good standing with the State Bar Association.
- Minimum 2 years of class action experience, including trial and motions experience.
- Exceptional research skills, particularly with Westlaw.
- Clerkship experience preferred.
- Law review experience preferred.
- Excellent client service and communication skills.
- Self‑starter driven by long‑term career goals.
- Superior writing and oral advocacy skills with attention to detail.
Education
- Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
