Position Summary

The St. Petersburg office of Traub Lieberman is seeking a dynamic, professional, highly skilled legal administrative assistant to participate in all phases of litigation, preferably with a background in personal injury and products liability. You will be an integral part of an exceptional litigation team. The ideal candidate should be a well-organized self-starter who can manage a high volume of work with accuracy.

Key Responsibilities
Type, edit, and prepare general correspondence, memoranda, pleadings, motions, discovery requests and responses, stipulations, and various other complex legal documents with a strong emphasis on attention to detail.
Electronic filing in both State and Federal Courts.
Enter and track calendar deadlines.
Communication with insureds with a strong emphasis on professional communication.
Proofread documents and check for appropriate formatting, spelling, and grammar.
Perform conflict checks and file creation paperwork.
Organize and maintain electronic file documents.
Arrange hearings, depositions, mediations, CMEs, meetings, and conferences.
Calendaring of miscellaneous deadlines, trial orders, etc.
Non-party subpoena follow-up.
Mailing documents.
Follow-up on delegated assignments.
Attorney expense entry.
Process vendor invoices.
Perform other duties as may be assigned.
Qualifications
High school diploma
3+ years legal secretary litigation experience (preferably personal injury and product liability defense)
Proven ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
Strong working knowledge of Florida’s ePortal system, judicial scheduling procedures, and Federal ECF
Exceptional problem-solving skills
Strong adaptability, multitasking abilities, and effective time management skills to perform well under pressure
Excellent organizational skills
Proficient in Microsoft Office programs
Worldox, iManage, Chrome River, and Aderant experience a plus or familiarity with a billing and case management system
Type 60 to 80 words per minute
