Job Summary
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Associate Attorney to join our legal team. The ideal candidate will have a strong foundation in legal research and drafting, with a focus on estate planning, probate, and civil litigation. This position offers the opportunity to work on diverse cases while collaborating with experienced attorneys in a supportive environment.
Responsibilities
Conduct thorough legal research using tools such as Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis to support case preparation and strategy.
Draft legal documents, including pleadings, motions, briefs, and settlement agreements.
Conduct initial consultations and identify issues that need solved for the client.
Review and analyze case files to identify key issues and develop effective legal strategies.
Communicate with clients, witnesses, and other parties involved in cases to gather information and provide updates.
Attend court hearings, depositions, and mediations as necessary to advocate for clients’ interests.
Collaborate with senior attorneys on complex cases and provide legal administrative support as needed.
Qualifications
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Admission to the bar in Ohio.
Strong skills in legal research and writing, with proficiency in Westlaw and Lexis-Nexis, and/or Decisis
Knowledge of estate planning is preferred, but not required.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail.
Ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while meeting deadlines.
Strong interpersonal skills for effective communication with clients and colleagues.
Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and ethical standards in all legal matters.
