Our Law firm is an established business defense firm in California is seeking a Civil Litigation Attorney with extensive experience in employment, contract dispute, and personal injury cases. Experience with Americans with Disabilities Act/Unruh lawsuits is a plus.
This is a contract position which allows candidates the flexibility of working from home.
Attorney must be committed to fighting for and defending client’s interests above all else with an aggressive but respectful approach. We are looking for an attorney who has exception knowledge surrounding legal procedure, we find that is the best defense to plaintiff claims. The firm seeks an attorney who can manage an independent caseload. Attorney will handle cases from inception through trial if need be.
From time to time, the firm will take on plaintiff cases. Applicant must feel comfortable working on either side of the aisle, but primarily has experience with defense cases.
Responsibilities
- Analyzing case facts to determine the most effective and efficient strategy to getting case dismissed or damages reduced significantly
- Drafting court pleadings and motions
- Preparing and responding to written discovery
- Performing depositions, hearings, CMC, mediations, etc.
- Negotiating settlements – Communicating with clients and opposing counsel to manage case efficiently Requirements
- Seasoned attorney with at least five years of litigation experience
- Analytical ability with a strong writing style
- Must be admitted to the and in good standing Hourly Rates range from $80-$150 based on experience.
