Job Overview:
A national civil litigation law firm is seeking an Associate Attorney with 1-3 years of experience in Michigan No-Fault insurance defense and Special Investigative Unit (SIU) matters. This position is based in Livonia, MI, with remote work flexibility. The ideal candidate will be a motivated, self-starter who can handle insurance defense, personal injury protection (No-Fault), and SIU cases, and will demonstrate strong academic, communication, and organizational skills.

Duties:
Handle insurance defense, personal injury protection (No-Fault), and SIU matters.
Conduct factual investigations and legal research.
Draft pleadings, motions, case evaluation summaries, and written discovery.
Conduct examinations under oath and depositions.
Provide trial support and argue legal pleadings as necessary.
Independently manage a busy caseload and meet deadlines.
Build and foster client relationships and accept constructive feedback.
Maintain high standards of legal work and professionalism.
Requirements:
1-3 years of experience in Michigan No-Fault insurance defense/SIU matters.
Membership in the Michigan State Bar.
Ability to independently manage caseloads and work under pressure.
Strong academic background with exceptional oral, written, and communication skills.
Strong organizational and time management skills.
Ability to work with clients and foster relationships.
Willingness to accept constructive feedback.
Education:
Juris Doctor (JD) from an accredited law school.
Certifications:
Must be licensed to practice law in Michigan (Michigan State Bar membership required).
Skills:
Exceptional oral and written communication skills.
Strong organizational and time-management skills.
Ability to conduct legal research and draft legal documents.
Proficient in conducting depositions and trials.
