Duties
Lead and manage the legal department, providing guidance and support to team members.
Conduct legal research and analysis to inform decision-making and strategy.
Negotiate contracts and settlements on behalf of clients.
Oversee legal drafting processes for documents such as contracts, wills, and environmental assessments.
Ensure compliance with applicable laws and regulations across various practice areas.
Collaborate with other departments to align legal strategies with organizational goals.
Mentor junior attorneys and support staff in their professional development.
Stay updated on changes in laws and regulations relevant to the firm’s practice areas.
Requirements
Juris Doctor (JD) degree from an accredited law school.
Active license to practice law in the relevant jurisdiction.
Proven experience in personal injury law, estate planning, environmental law, or patent law.
Strong skills in legal research using tools such as Lexis-Nexis.
Excellent negotiation skills with a track record of successful outcomes.
Proficiency in legal drafting and administrative tasks.
Exceptional communication skills, both written and verbal.
Ability to lead a team effectively while fostering a collaborative work environment.
