Overview
We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Civil Litigation & Appellate Attorney to join our legal team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to lead complex litigation cases, craft persuasive appellate briefs, and provide strategic legal counsel across a broad spectrum of practice areas. Duties
- Manage all phases of civil litigation, including case investigation, discovery, motion practice, trial preparation, and post-trial proceedings.
- Draft, review, and file appellate briefs, motions, and legal memoranda with precision and clarity.
- Conduct comprehensive legal research utilizing LexisNexis and Westlaw to support case strategies across diverse practice areas such as estate planning, environmental law, immigration law, landlord-tenant law, family law, securities law, workers’ compensation law, tribal law & regulations, patent law, personal injury law, employment law, and general & commercial litigation.
- Prepare for and participate in court depositions, hearings, mediations, and settlement negotiations with a focus on effective advocacy.
- Develop case strategies by analyzing procedural laws and statutory regulations relevant to each matter.
- Communicate effectively with clients to provide updates on case progress and legal options while managing expectations professionally.
- Maintain meticulous case management records using legal case management systems to ensure compliance with deadlines and procedural requirements.
- Collaborate with colleagues across practice areas to develop comprehensive legal solutions tailored to client needs.
Skills
- Extensive knowledge of procedural law and statutory research methods.
- Proven experience in handling personal injury cases from inception through resolution.
- Strong negotiation skills for settlement discussions and alternative dispute resolution processes.
- Proficiency in drafting contracts, legal motions, pleadings, and other legal documents with clarity and precision.
- Ability to conduct thorough legal research using LexisNexis and Westlaw platforms efficiently.
- Experience in trial preparation including organizing evidence, witness preparation, and courtroom procedures.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills for effective advocacy and client interaction.
- Familiarity with employment law cases as well as specialized areas such as estate planning or environmental law is advantageous.
- Demonstrated ability to manage multiple cases simultaneously while maintaining attention to detail.
- Legal administrative experience that supports efficient workflow management within a busy law office environment.

Pay: $78,000.00 – $98,000.00 per year
