We are a global group operating across Europe, Africa, LATAM, and Asia. The Group Legal team, led by the Head of Corporate, Licensing & IP in Dubai, is a senior and highly autonomous function that owns licensing, corporate structuring, and compliance for every market the group operates in — with no intermediate management layer between individual contributors and the Head of Corporate, Licensing & IP.
Purpose
Serve as the group’s onsite legal presence in Kyrgyzstan, providing hands-on legal support to local operations while managing corporate, licensing, and compliance matters across the CIS region.
Core responsibilities
Onsite legal support
Provide day-to-day legal support to the Kyrgyzstan-based operations team on commercial, corporate, licensing, and regulatory matters.
Serve as the first point of contact for local legal questions, escalating complex matters to the Head of Corporate, Licensing & IP
Corporate & licensing
Manage entity registration, corporate governance, and licensing compliance in Kyrgyzstan for the group’s CIS operations.
Track and manage local gaming/gambling license applications, renewals, and regulatory filings.
Regulatory liaison
Build and maintain relationships with Kyrgyzstan regulators and relevant CIS authorities.
Monitor legislative developments across CIS jurisdictions and brief the Head of Corporate, Licensing & IP on impact.
Contracts & compliance
Draft, review, and negotiate commercial, vendor, and employment contracts under local law.
Support AML/KYC compliance requirements specific to CIS operations.
Cross-border coordination
Liaise with the wider legal team (Legal Ops, Compliance) on matters spanning multiple jurisdictions.
Required qualifications
Licensed lawyer qualified in Kyrgyzstan or another CIS jurisdiction, 4+ years’ post-qualification experience.
Experience in corporate, commercial, or regulatory law; iGaming experience strongly preferred.
Working knowledge of CIS regulatory environments and cross-border compliance considerations.
Fluent English.
Willing and able to work onsite in Kyrgyzstan.
Key attributes
Independent operator, comfortable being the sole onsite lawyer.
Strong relationship-builder with local regulators and business stakeholders.
Pragmatic and responsive; able to triage and resolve issues quickly.
Success metrics (first 12 months)
All CIS entity and licensing filings completed on time.
Established working relationships with key local regulators.
Zero unresolved compliance escalations at quarter-end.
