Central Regional Hospital

We are currently recruiting for two Administrative Specialist I positions that will function as a Forensic Evaluation Service Administrative Specialists at Central Regional Hospital (CRH) on the Forensic Services Unit.

These positions serve as the Administrative Specialists to the Forensic Evaluation Service Supervisor. Job duties include but are not limited to:

Scheduling outpatient, inpatient, and videoconference forensic evaluations
Distributing forensic reports to attorneys and courts.
Updating the Forensic Tracking Log and Schedules with information about case assignments, when defendants have been seen, and when reports have been submitted.
Assisting Forensic Case Specialists with their tasks related to collecting collateral, scheduling evaluations, preparing for evaluations (e.g., scheduling interpreters, setting up videoconferencing meetings), ensuring evaluees are registered in the record-keeping system, tracking evaluations, and otherwise coordinating evaluations as appropriate.
Assisting Forensic Evaluators during their in-person, outpatient evaluations, including but not limited to taking pictures of evaluees, opening doors for law enforcement officers, being prepared to call for help in the case of a medical or behavioral health emergency, and helping to coordinate lunches for evaluees.
Managing work orders for office issues and ordering office supplies.
Typing minutes for Forensic Evaluation Service meetings.
Answering the phone for calls to the Forensic Evaluation Service, taking messages if necessary, and using judgement whether the call is urgent enough to warrant immediate attention from the Forensic Evaluation Service Supervisor or Forensic Case Specialists. This function may involve frequent public contact, often on sensitive matters requiring a diplomatic response (e.g., complaints from judges and attorneys).
Working with timekeeping as appropriate to ensure that timesheets of other staff in the Forensic Evaluation Service are accurate.
Assisting the Forensic Evaluation Services Supervisor with administrative tasks related to the Forensic Psychology Internship and Post-Doctoral Positions as needed, such as those associated with timekeeping, helping to complete contracts, printing certificates of completion, and editing materials related to the program brochures.

The normal work hours for these positions are 8:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Monday – Friday however flexibility is required to meet hospital needs. These are full-time positions and eligible for the full State benefits package including health insurance and retirement.

Experience working with attorneys and/or courts

Minimum Education and Experience Requirements

High school diploma or General Educational Development (GED) diploma and two years of related administrative experience; or
equivalent combination of education and experience.
