DESCRIPTION
The Union County Probate and Juvenile Court Judge is now hiring a full-time Treatment Court Coordinator. Under the direction of the Judge, the Treatment Court Coordinator is responsible for the day-to-day coordination of activities related to the therapeutically oriented judicial approach offered via the Specialized Docket. Attends Meetings, works with providers and individuals regarding program compliance, maintains participant data and coordinates services with all service providers in a manner that is therapeutic to the participant. Acts as liaison between the Court, Community Resources, Children’s Services Personnel, and Treatment Providers; assists the Treatment Court Case Managers, as needed. Works directly with the Chief Probation Officer to coordinate probation services.

QUALIFICATIONS
Completion of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in Behavioral Science, Criminal Justice or related field, and three (3) or more years of experience; or any equivalent combination of education, experience, and training which provides the required knowledge, skills, and abilities. Selected individual must also be capable of passing a comprehensive pre-employment background investigation.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess a valid Ohio driver’s license and maintain insurability under the County’s vehicle insurance policy.

Motor vehicle, personal computer, applicable computer software, printer, copy machine, fax machine, and other standard business office equipment, electronic monitoring hard and software, drug and/or alcohol testing equipment.
INHERENTLY HAZARDOUS OR PHYSICALLY DEMANDING WORKING CONDITIONS:
The employee has exposure to chemical compounds found in an office environment (e.g., toner, correction fluid, etc.); is exposed to possible injury due to unclean or unsanitary conditions; has contact with potentially violent or emotionally distraught persons; has exposure to hazardous driving conditions; uses or works in proximity to the use of firearms; has exposure to potentially vicious animals; has exposure to second hand smoke; works in or around crowds; ascends and/or descends stairs; has exposure to hot, cold, wet, humid, or windy weather conditions; has to work irregular hours.
Note: In accordance with the U.S. Department of Labor physical demands strength ratings, this is considered light work.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITION: For purposes of 42 USC 12101:
(1) Responsible for the day-to-day coordination of the Specialized Docket. The Coordinator will attend Treatment Team meetings and Status Review hearings for the participants; gather progress reports from treatment and service providers to present to the Treatment Team; participate in any discussions regarding incentives, sanctions, phase advancement, successful completion, and termination; maintain the daily operations of the specialized docket; coordinate random alcohol and drug screens of the participants; and monitor compliance with any sanctions.
(2) Provides oversight of Treatment Court Case Managers and serves as liaison to treatment providers. The Treatment Court Coordinator ensures that Treatment Team members follow policies and procedures; monitors service provider agreements and contracts; monitors the services to participants; and coordinates Treatment Team professional education and assists the Specialized Docket Judge regarding Advisory Committee meetings.
(3) Assists with identifying potential participant; conducts the legal and clinical eligibility screenings; reviews clinical assessments; assists the participant in all phases including the orientation phase; and meets with participants regularly to discuss individualized goals and progress.
(4) The Treatment Court Coordinator oversees data collection and records management for the Treatment Team. Collects and maintains statistical information and other confidential records concerning participants; collects data from service providers; and creates reports for review and submission to funding sources.
(5) Assists with case management for each participant in the Specialized Docket and provides support to Treatment Court Case Manager in the creation of individualized case plans for youth/adults; completing risk and need assessments; performing weekly home/community visits with participants as needed; participates in team planning, crisis intervention and liaison services with referral source; responsible for ensuring participants receive appropriate treatment/supportive services in the community.
(6) Gathers information to assist in the drafting of written progress reports for the Judicial Officer and the Treatment Team prior to each status hearing to outline relevant issues pertaining to client attendance, participation and progress.
(7) Oversees group facilitation.
(8) Maintains required licensures, certification, and continuing education requirements, if any.
(9) Meets all job safety requirements and all applicable safety standards that pertain to essential functions.
(10) Demonstrates regular and predictable attendance.
(11) Performs other related duties as assigned.
(12) Attends staff meetings as assigned.
(13) Will be required to work evening and weekend hours as needed.
MINIMUM ACCEPTABLE CHARACTERISTICS
