Role Description

The Chief Compliance Officer (CCO) is responsible for establishing, leading, and continuously enhancing the organization’s compliance framework to ensure adherence to applicable laws, regulations, and internal policies. This role serves as a key advisor to senior leadership, providing guidance on regulatory risk, ethical standards, and governance practices that support sustainable business operations.

The CCO oversees the design and implementation of compliance programs, including policy development, risk assessments, monitoring systems, and internal controls. The role involves proactively identifying regulatory risks, ensuring effective mitigation strategies, and fostering a strong culture of integrity and accountability across the organization. Close collaboration with legal, risk, audit, and business teams is essential to ensure alignment between compliance requirements and operational execution.

In addition, the CCO is responsible for managing regulatory interactions, overseeing internal investigations where necessary, and ensuring timely reporting to relevant stakeholders. The role also includes developing training programs and communication initiatives to promote awareness and understanding of compliance obligations.
