20-attorney insurance defense litigation firm is looking for FLORIDA First Party Property Litigation Attorneys (First Party Property DEFENSE experience REQUIRED) to join their TAMPA team.
For this role, we prefer attorneys with 1-2 years experience with FLORIDA First Party Property or other Insurance Defense cases. We handle the defense of homeowner’s claims for very reputable insurance carriers in FL, including hurricane, storm, wind, water, fire, roofing, pipes, and other severe damage to residential and commercial properties. We will ENTRY LEVEL brand new attorneys as well.
DUTIES: reviewing and analyzing new files from assignment by the adjuster, preparing an initial status report summarizing liability / damages and exposure, drafting pleadings, motions, issuing written discovery, answering discovery, taking and defending fact and expert witness depositions, arguing motions, attending court hearings, mediations, trials, and regularly preparing comprehensive status reports to the clients. Should have experience with expert witness depositions and preparing for same.
