Cave Tour Guide Jobs in Woodville, AL at Cathedral Caverns State Park
Duties:
– Conduct guided tours of an underground cave, providing visitors with information and insights about the park. Cave tours can include up to 65 participants.
– Educate tour participants on the history, culture, and significance of the cave and park.
– Ensure the safety and well-being of tour participants throughout the duration of the tour.
– Answer questions and provide additional information to enhance the tour experience.
– Maintain a professional and engaging demeanor while interacting with tour participants.
– Adhere to established tour schedules and ensure timely departure and arrival at each location.

Position Details:
– This position requires holiday and weekend work.
– Individuals selected will be scheduled up to 40 hours per week. However, part time employment options are available.
– Cathedral Caverns State Park normal business hours are from 8:00AM-6:00PM seven days per week. Employees are normally scheduled five days per week for eight hours per day.
– This position is a seasonal position. Individuals selected will work up to 40 weeks and then a 60-day layoff is required. Once the 60-day layoff is complete the employee can be rehired.
– Alabama State Employees are paid on the 1st and 16th of the month. If the 1st or 16th falls on a weekend, then the employee will be paid on the Friday before the weekend.
– Newly hired employees will receive their first check a month from their start date. Then will receive their checks on the 1st or the 16th of each month. Example: if you start on October 1st then you would receive your first paycheck on November 1st.
Pay: $10.00 per hour
