In this role, you'll be employed by Teamd while working exclusively with our client, a legal and social impact organization operating a referral pathway for domestic abuse victims. You'll gain the career support of Teamd alongside meaningful, mission-driven work.

The Role

As a Caseworker / Legal Assistant, you will be the primary point of contact for victims of domestic abuse, helping them navigate family law matters with a focus on Non-Molestation Orders and Occupation Orders. 

You'll provide empathetic guidance, draft legal documents, and work with solicitor partners to progress cases efficiently while meeting monthly caseload targets.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide advice and guidance to clients on their rights and options under family law (domestic abuse focus)
  • Deliver patient, professional, and sympathetic support to clients in crisis
  • Work with solicitor partners to manage a complex caseload
  • Prepare case bundles, witness statements, and supporting legal documents
  • Maintain organized client files and case administration
  • Ensure strict confidentiality and compliance with legal standards

Required Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's degree in Law, Social Work, Psychology, or related field
  • Understanding of family law principles.
  • Prior experience in legal support or social services (preferred)

Skills:

  • Excellent English communication skills (written and verbal)
  • Strong empathy and ability to work with vulnerable populations
  • Exceptional organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Ability to manage multiple cases and meet deadlines
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
