Job Summary: An AV-rated creditors’ rights law firm based in Cleveland, Ohio, seeks a detail-oriented Creditors’ Rights/Debt Collection Attorney with 2-5 years of experience to join our Firm. Responsibilities include handling a broad range of consumer debt collection matters from reviewing legal documents, attending court matters and working with legal assistants and clients.
Primary Responsibilities:
Handle consumer and commercial debt collection cases in all phases of litigation and post judgment execution.
Sign and review complaints and other legal documents.
Ensure compliance with the FDCPA, and other consumer protection regulations.
Communicate with clients regarding case progress, strategy, and outcomes.
Collaborate with legal assistants, paralegals, and other support staff.
Negotiate settlements and payment arrangements.
Qualifications and Requirements:
Experience: 2-5 years’ experience with a license to practice law in Ohio
Skills:
Strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills.
Detail-oriented with a client-first approach.
Self-motivated with the ability to manage responsibilities independently.
Technical Proficiency: Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Travel: As needed within Ohio for court appearances and meetings.
