A leading international law firm with a highly regarded European practice is seeking to recruit an Associate to join its Capital Markets team in Brussels.
This is an excellent opportunity to join a market-leading practice advising a sophisticated international client base, including financial institutions, corporates, issuers and investment banks on complex cross-border transactions.
The Role
The successful candidate will work on a broad range of domestic and international capital markets matters, including:
- Equity and debt capital markets transactions
- Public and private securities offerings
- Regulatory and securities law matters
- Structured finance and related financing transactions
- Ongoing disclosure, governance and listed company advisory work
- Multi-jurisdictional transactions involving coordination with offices across Europe and globally
The role offers significant exposure to high-profile mandates, direct client contact and the opportunity to work within an internationally integrated team.
Candidate Profile
The firm is particularly interested in candidates with:
- Approximately 3–6 years of post-qualification experience gained within a recognised law firm; however, exceptional junior candidates will also be considered.
- Experience or a strong interest in capital markets law, including ECM, DCM and securities regulatory matters.
- Strong academic credentials and excellent technical legal skills.
- Experience working on cross-border transactions and an international mindset.
- Excellent communication and drafting skills in English; additional European languages, particularly French or Dutch, would be advantageous but are not essential.
- A proactive, team-oriented approach and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced, intellectually demanding environment.
