Watts & Associates is working discreetly with a highly regarded Am Law 200 ranked international law firm seeking a 2 to 3 year Capital Markets Associate to join its New York NY office on an in office basis.
This is a 100 percent transactional role focused on advising on equity and debt capital markets matters, with an emphasis on public securities offerings and related disclosure and regulatory considerations.
The team offers a sophisticated platform with a collaborative, partner led approach and direct exposure to market facing work. Associates are expected to take ownership of drafting and execution while working closely with senior lawyers on fast moving transactions.
The Opportunity
You will support issuer and underwriter side representations across a range of public offering structures, contribute to drafting and reviewing offering documentation, coordinate diligence and process management, and work with internal and external stakeholders to drive transactions from launch through closing.
Ideal Candidate Profile
The firm is seeking a 2 to 3 year Capital Markets Associate with:
- 2 to 3 years of experience in equity and or debt capital markets
- Significant experience advising on public securities offerings, including equity and debt
- Major or peer law firm experience at the relevant level
- New York Bar admission in good standing
- Excellent academic credentials and strong writing, communication and organizational skills
- Ability to work effectively in an in office schedule with consistent in office presence

Compensation
The anticipated salary range for this role is $235,000 to $260,000, depending on class year, experience and other relevant factors.
