California Criminal Trial Attorney — Sex Crime Defense Jobs in California at Innocence Legal Team
Innocence Legal Team is exclusively focused on defending individuals accused of sex crimes in California. We are hiring two experienced trial attorneys. One in Northern California and one in Southern California.
Compensation
Base: $180,000.
Bonus: $7,500 for every case-stage worked beyond 32 in a year.
Additional Trial-day bonus: $1,000 for every day in trial. (Case-stages: 1. Arrest to preliminary hearing; 2 Preliminary Hearing to Trial).
Signing bonus for Spanish fluency. Employer match retirement plan, paid time off, flexible schedule. Bar Dues and malpractice coverage paid.
Requirements
- Active California Bar license, in good standing.
- 15 felony jury trials tried to verdict, first or second chair. Lower salary base for fewer trial (minimum 8).
- Technical competence: We Use Clio Manage and AI tools.
- California residency.
The Job
- 32-case-stage annual load — roughly 16 to 20 cases per year.
- Sex-crime Defense – We train.
- Support: paralegal, investigator, experts.
- Remote other than court appearances, jail visits and occasional client meetings.
