Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Legal Assistant to join our dynamic legal team. The ideal candidate will possess a strong understanding of various areas of law, including personal injury, estate planning, probate and guardianship. This role is crucial in supporting attorneys with case management, documentation, and client communication to ensure efficient legal operations.
Requirements
Minimum of three (3) years relevant job experience.
Knowledge of drafting documents and pleadings in probate, estate planning and guardianship proceedings.
Notary Public.
Excellent proof reading skills and time management.
Duties
Assist attorneys in preparing legal documents and correspondence.
Manage and organize case files, ensuring all documentation is accurate and up-to-date.
Transcribe legal documents and maintain records of client interactions.
Perform data entry tasks related to case management and client information.
Communicate with clients regarding case updates and gather necessary information.
Docket Court dates and other appointments for the attorneys.
Support the team in various administrative tasks as needed.
Skills
Knowledge of drafting documents and pleadings is mandatory.
Strong organizational skills to manage multiple cases efficiently.
Excellent data entry skills with attention to detail for maintaining accurate records.
Ability to transcribe legal documents accurately and promptly.
Effective communication skills for client interaction and team collaboration.
Familiarity with legal case management processes and best practices.
