The City of Mission is seeking a self-motivated Officer for a temporary position from June 2026 to August 2027. You will monitor compliance with traffic and parking regulations, investigate complaints, and perform various regulatory duties. Engaging directly with the public, you will need strong problem-solving skills and effective communication abilities.

Key Responsibilities:

• Enforce parking bylaws through patrols in the city

• Investigate public complaints on illegally parked vehicles

• Issue warnings and bylaw violation notices

• Prepare detailed reports on enforcement activities

• Assess business license applications as required

Requirements:

• Completion of JIBC’s Bylaw Compliance courses

• At least two years of related enforcement experience

• Valid Class 5 driver’s license with a clean record

• Strong verbal and written communication skills

• Flexibility to work varying shifts across the week
