Blue Legal are partnering with a leading international law firm who are recruiting a Business Development Manager to join their Glasgow or Edinburgh office. The role involves leading and supporting an integrated group comprising of the main IP & Technology & Media lawyers, working for many of the world’s biggest brands on often market-defining mandates. The ideal candidate will have a mindset focussed on
process improvement
with the ability to identify areas where ways of working can be adapted/automated to improve effectiveness.
The Responsibilities:
Support Partners with business development (BD) initiatives and relationship management with clients and prospects.
Stay up to date on legal and industry developments to inform BD strategies and conversations.
Create compelling pitch materials and presentations to engage current and potential clients.
Organise and manage events, webinars, and
networking opportunities
to promote the firm and build BD presence.
Contribute to marketing campaigns, legal directory submissions, and award entries to boost visibility and rankings.
Assist with business planning, budget tracking, and maintaining BD tools, content, and CRM systems.
The Candidate:
Proven experience in Business Development and/or Marketing within a law firm setting.
Strong commercial awareness with the ability to align BD activities to firm-wide strategy.
Excellent
communication
, analytical, and prioritisation skills with a proactive, solution-focused mindset.
