The Estate & Asset Protection Law Firm, a boutique practice in the heart of Decatur, GA, is dedicated to helping individuals age with dignity and protect what matters most. We specialize in Elder Care Law, Asset Protection, Medicaid Planning, VA Benefits, Probate, and Wealth Protection.
We’re looking for a Law Clerk to join our estate planning team under the guidance and mentorship of our Attorney Team. In this role, you will be ensuring our client’s needs are met with care, clarity, and compassion by assisting in the drafting process of select estate planning documents. This role is perfect for someone with excellent communication skills, strong writing skills, and a genuine desire to make a positive impact in people’s lives.

Responsibilities:
As a Law Clerk, you’ll play a key role in initial drafting of select estate planning documents. Through your skill-set in drafting, you will be helping individuals and families navigate important decisions with care and clarity. We’re looking for someone who thrives on building relationships and has a passion for connecting people with the resources they need. In this role, your responsibilities will include:
Drafting estate planning documents under the supervision and mentorship of our Attorney Team.
Responsible for client follow-up when there is missing personal information or decisions required to complete estate planning document.
Understanding each client’s unique situation and needs, and approach each client’s document with this understanding.
As directed by assigned Attorney, you will maintain frequent, thoughtful communication with clients to ensure they are satisfied and feel supported throughout the drafting process.
Assist as part of the signing team when client(s) come into the office to sign their finalized estate planning documents.
Collaborating closely with our internal team to ensure that all client needs are met in a timely and efficient manner.
Utilizing our CRM system daily to track and document all interactions, ensuring that no detail is missed and client information is always up to date.

Qualifications:
· Current law student or recent law school graduate.
· A client-centered approach with strong interpersonal skills that demonstrate compassion, patience, and empathy.
· Excellent communication skills, with the ability to quickly build trust and rapport.
· Self-motivated and goal-oriented, capable of working both independently and collaboratively as part of a team.
· A resourceful problem solver who can think on their feet and offer solutions that align with client needs.
· Proficient in using CRM software and the Microsoft Office Suite.
· Flexibility and adaptability, able to pivot when needed and develop creative solutions when challenges arise.
Preferred:
Experience working in the legal, or elder care industries.
Familiarity with estate planning, elder law, or related legal services.
Job Types: Full-time, Part-time
Pay: $18.00 – $23.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 25 per week
