VP or SVP level candidates, looking for the specific experience in entertainment, ideally if they have worked for streaming platforms that is preferred. They will be negotiating content agreements for original series on our clients platform, overseeing the above the line agreements handled by the studios, liasing with creating/finance/production and marketing/pr and other key stakeholders.

Responsibilities

  • Structure, negotiate, draft and provide business counsel on all aspects of development, licensing, and production deals for Paramount+ original series.
  • Communicate and summarize key deal terms for internal stakeholders, ensuring clarity and alignment across teams.
  • Collaborate with the Legal team on the longform agreements and standard terms.
  • Help to establish and maintain internal forms and policies, including with respect to approval rights, on-screen credits, talent requirements, deliverables, exclusivity, advertising and marketing restrictions, and press and promotional obligations.
  • Coordinate with affiliate and third‑party studios on the negotiation of key above-the-line agreements, underlying rights agreements, and pilot/series development and production documentation.
  • Liaise with Creative and Production teams to review, evaluate, and approve production budgets and strategize to address and resolve production‑related issues.
  • Partner with Finance, Marketing, Creative, Communications, Legal, and Production teams to advise on various issues related to Paramount+ original series.
  • Maintain a strong understanding of emerging legal, technological, and industry developments that impact content creation, production, and distribution.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and a Juris Doctor from an ABA‑accredited law school.
  • Minimum of 8 years of prior experience negotiating deals at a network/platform, studio, production company, or entertainment law firm (or equivalent experience).
  • Strong drafting, analytical, and organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple high‑priority tasks simultaneously.
  • Exceptional written and verbal communication abilities.
  • Self‑starter with excellent attention to detail and the ability to work independently and collaboratively.
