This position involves independent work as part of a small team which supports a variety of specialized and complex litigation cases.
Key Responsibilities:
Work closely with trial attorneys to preserve appellate issues
Research and draft major trial motions to frame or narrow future appeals
Conduct extensive legal research to identify appellate issues and procedural approaches to appeal
Develop legal arguments and prepare briefing for review at the appellate level
Present appellate oral arguments
Qualifications:
Outstanding research and writing skills
An affinity for the Oxford comma and standards of review
Ability to meet the exacting standards and rules of multiple appellate courts nationwide
Experience with briefing and/or oral argument at the appellate level
