Billing Technician for our Las Vegas Office
Hooks, Meng & Clement (HMC) is seeking a Billing Technician who loves digging into detailed work that can help our billing attorneys process and issue accurate billing in a timely manner every month. Job seekers should have at least two (2) years of billing experience, be meticulous and organized, and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
Hooks, Meng and Clement specializes in Industrial Litigation, representing a diverse clientele, including employers, insurers, and third-party administrators.
Compensation
$45,000+ annually

Responsibilities
Work with all billing functions of the firm, including billing coordination with the firm’s partners, attorneys, and staff
Process incoming payments to appropriate accounts and keep precise financial records
Revise invoices in accordance with attorney requests and prepare final bills for mailing
Run accounts receivable reports to keep track of past due accounts and follow up on payments
Work with the client’s accounting department to resolve any billing inquiries to ensure timely payment
Circulate monthly invoices to billing attorneys for initial review
Research payment deficiencies and reconcile outstanding invoices
Coordinate correction activities and follow through to resolution
Qualifications
High school diploma or GED required
A bachelor’s degree in accounting is preferred, but not required
At least two (2) years of accounting, bookkeeping, or insurance-related billing experience required
Experience in a law firm and or Insurance/TPA environment preferred.
Efficient in MS Office, Excel, and billing software programs is essential
Able to produce a high-quality work product while handling multiple projects and deadlines, all while in a fast-paced environment
Precise and detailed, in keeping with general accounting standards
Knowledge of Clio is a plus
