Bilingual Spanish Paralegal Jobs in Indianapolis, IN at Indiana Law Firm

Bilingual Personal Injury Paralegal

Full-Time | On-Site | Indianapolis, Indiana
Pay: Approximately $25.00 per hour, with flexibility based on experience

An Indiana Law Firm is seeking a full-time Bilingual Personal Injury Paralegal to support two attorneys and provide responsive, compassionate legal assistance to English- and Spanish-speaking clients.

This is a newly created position resulting from the firm’s continued growth and increasing Spanish-speaking client base. The person hired will assist with client communication, case management, intake, deadlines, file organization, and litigation support.

Although this role involves independently managing legal responsibilities and supporting multiple attorneys, it is not a people-management position and does not have direct reports.

About the Firm

They’re an established Indianapolis personal injury law firm representing individuals and families affected by car and truck accidents, motorcycle accidents, premises liability, workers’ compensation matters, wrongful death, and other serious injuries.

Their team is committed to providing personal, attentive legal service and making sure clients understand what is happening throughout their case. A significant portion of our clients primarily speak Spanish, making bilingual communication essential to this position.

What You’ll Do

  • Communicate professionally and compassionately with clients in both Spanish and English.
  • Conduct client intakes and gather complete, accurate case information.
  • Open, organize, update, and maintain personal injury case files.
  • Support two attorneys with day-to-day case management and legal administrative needs.
  • Track important case deadlines, appointments, tasks, and follow-up requirements.
  • Provide clients with regular updates and respond to questions within established timelines.
  • Prepare and organize correspondence, case records, and litigation-support materials.
  • Maintain accurate case notes and documentation in the firm’s case-management system.
  • Coordinate information between clients, attorneys, medical providers, insurance representatives, and other involved parties.
  • Identify missing information, stalled cases, and potential workflow bottlenecks.
  • Help improve case-management procedures and contribute to a more efficient client experience.
  • Use NEOS, Microsoft Outlook, and Microsoft Word to manage assigned work.
  • Take increasing ownership of assigned responsibilities with minimal supervision as training progresses.

Required Qualifications

  • Professional fluency in both Spanish and English.
  • Previous paid experience working in a law firm, legal office, or legal-services environment.
  • Strong client communication skills, including the ability to assist people who may be injured, stressed, or unfamiliar with the legal process.
  • Excellent organization, documentation, and deadline-management skills.
  • Ability to manage competing priorities while supporting two attorneys.
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining accurate case information.
  • Dependable, coachable, and comfortable following established processes.
  • Comfortable learning new legal software and case-management procedures.
  • Able to work full-time and on-site in Indianapolis.
  • Able to commute to the firm’s current downtown Indianapolis office and its planned future location on the northeast side of Indianapolis.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Personal injury paralegal, plaintiff litigation, or personal injury case-management experience.
  • Experience as a bilingual legal assistant, litigation paralegal, PI case manager, legal case coordinator, or legal intake specialist.
  • Familiarity with personal injury claims, medical records, insurance communications, or litigation support.
  • Experience with NEOS or another legal case-management system.
  • Experience supporting multiple attorneys or managing a high-volume caseload.

Personal injury experience is strongly preferred, but it is not an absolute requirement. Candidates with solid bilingual legal experience in immigration, criminal defense, family law, workers’ compensation, medical malpractice, legal aid, or another client-focused practice area are encouraged to apply.

What We’re Looking For

The right candidate is warm and professional with clients, highly organized behind the scenes, and proactive about moving work forward. You should be comfortable asking questions during training, accepting feedback, following established procedures, and eventually managing your assigned responsibilities without constant reminders.

  • Approximately $20.00 -$25.00 per hour, with flexibility based on relevant experience.
  • Full-time employment.
  • Vision insurance available upon hire.
  • 401(k) eligibility after 90 days.
  • Potential discretionary year-end bonus based on firm performance.
