Job Summary
Personal injury law firm seeking a bilingual Spanish speaking Paralegal to join our team. The position will assist with both pre-litigation and litigated personal injury cases, including client communication, medical records and bills, demands, discovery, court filing, preparing legal documents and managing calendar.
Personal Injury experience is preferred, but we are willing to train the right candidate.
We are looking for someone who is organized, dependable, detail oriented and professional.
Responsibilities
- Fluent in English and Spanish to be able to communicate by telephone and email.
- Support client communication by translating legal information accurately between Spanish and English while maintaining professional phone etiquette.
- Assist and managing personal injury cases from intake through settlement.
- Communicating with clients regarding case status.
- Assist attorney with litigated personal injury cases.
- Assist with all discovery and scheduling depositions.
- Prepare for hearings, meetings by gathering relevant case materials and summarizing key information.
- Manage deadlines and filing lawsuits.
- Excellent proofreading skills along with the ability to produce clear legal writing and drafting documents accurately.
- Maintaining litigated calendar and track important deadlines.
