Bilingual Immigration Legal Assistant

APPLICANTS MUST HAVE EXPERIENCE IN: EOIR (Defensive Asylum/Prosecutorial Discretion/ 42A/ 42B/ BONDS/ BIA APPEAL/ Voluntary departure/ Stay of Removal, Etc.)
Keeps cases organized by establishing and organizing files; meeting deadlines; documenting actions; inputting information into file database and case management software;
Helps develop cases by maintaining contact with the attorneys and other paralegals involved in the case;
Keeps clients informed by providing follow-up calls, letters or emails frequently;
The Paralegal/Legal Assistant must possess:
Excellent interpersonal and customer service skills; respect for confidentiality and discretion; attention to detail; positive, upbeat attitude; patience in dealing with difficult visitors; dependability; highly motivated; self-starter. A client service mindset, desire to achieve a high level of productivity Experience using various computer systems Ability to multi-task in a fast-paced environment with competing demands The ability to prioritize, meet deadlines and escalate case issues to supervisor Excellent written and verbal communication skills Desire to contribute to positive work environment , effectively collaborate and promote teamwork.
Must be ORGANIZED
High school degree
