Job Overview
We are seeking an Associate Attorney to join our growing firm. The ideal candidate will possess a strong foundation in medical malpractice law and/or general liability personal injury law. This role requires the ability to handle medical record reviews, court conferences, depositions, meeting with experts and working with trial counsel to prepare for trial. The Associate Attorney will work closely with trial counsel in working-up files and assisting with trials. We are seeking attorneys with 3-5 years of experience, though would be willing to train those with less experience who are eager to learn medical malpractice defense. We are also seeking attorneys with 5-10 years of experience preferrable with some trial experience.
Duties
Handle all aspects of discovery, depositions, and motion practice.
Review and analyze medical records and discuss case strategy with experts and trial counsel.
Assist in the preparation for trials, hearings, and other legal proceedings.
Maintain accurate records of case progress and client communications.
Utilize legal research tools such as Westlaw to gather pertinent information.
Skills
Strong knowledge of legal principles and practices in medical malpractice.
Excellent research skills to effectively analyze complex legal issues.
Familiarity with medical malpractice and/or general liability defense is preferred
Strong written communication skills for drafting clear and concise reports to our clients.
Effective organizational skills to manage multiple cases simultaneously.
Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also demonstrating independence.

Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $110,000.00 – $125,000.00 per year
