We are seeking a highly motivated and detail-oriented individual to join our team as a Bilingual Corporate Paralegal/Legal Assistant.
This position is in Ciudad de México, México
Responsibilities:
Drafting and reviewing contracts: Drafting, reviewing, and negotiating contracts for land leases, power purchase agreements (PPAs), maintenance agreements, and other commercial agreements related to solar projects
Helping review and manage contracts with solar panel suppliers, equipment vendors, and installation service providers, ensuring the terms are clear and favorable for the company
Construction permits: Assist in obtaining these permits, working with local authorities, and ensuring the project complies with zoning regulations
Draft Board of Directors resolutions for important company decisions, such as approving budgets, entering contracts, authorizing financing, or making corporate investments in new energy projects.
May assist in obtaining an EIN from the IRS for the newly formed entity.
Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in: Law, Legal Studies, or a related field.
4+ Years experience with basic contract review: Drafting, review and negotiation of simple agreements like NDA’s, Terms and Conditions, lease agreements, service agreements and supply agreements, among others.
4+ Years experience with corporate issues such as incorporating companies, drafting Operating Agreements, corporate resolutions such as BOD resolutions, etc.
2+ Years experience working in a USA Company
Previous experience working with renewable energy projects is desirable but not required.
Fluent English and Spanish.
