Job Overview
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Compliance Officer to join our team. The ideal candidate will play a crucial role in ensuring our organization adheres to all regulatory requirements and internal policies. This position requires a strong understanding of compliance frameworks, financial regulations, and the ability to conduct thorough audits. The Compliance Officer will work closely with various departments to promote a culture of compliance and integrity within the organization.

Duties

Develop, implement, and maintain compliance programs that align with regulatory requirements, including the Bank Secrecy Act and GAAP standards.
Conduct regular internal audits to assess compliance with established policies and procedures.
Monitor changes in regulations affecting the organization and ensure timely updates to compliance practices.
Prepare and submit regulatory reports as required, ensuring accuracy and completeness.
Collaborate with corporate accounting teams to ensure adherence to financial regulations, including ACH transactions.
Provide training and guidance to staff on compliance-related issues and best practices.
Assist in risk assessments related to compliance matters and recommend appropriate measures for mitigation.
Maintain documentation related to compliance activities, including audit findings and corrective actions.

Requirements

Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, business administration, or a related field.
Strong knowledge of regulatory frameworks including COSO principles and internal audit processes.
Proven experience in corporate accounting or technical accounting roles is preferred.
Familiarity with financial acumen concepts relevant to banking operations.
Excellent analytical skills with attention to detail for identifying compliance issues.
Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, for effective collaboration across departments.
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team in a fast-paced environment.
Prior experience in regulatory reporting is a plus.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $24.66 – $25.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
